Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a licensed behavioral health therapist to join the Psychiatric Emergency Response team. This fully remote role supports patients in Sentara EDs with behavioral/mental health needs, delivering recommendations for treatment and collaborating with care teams.

The position requires LPC or LCSW licensure and a Master’s degree, with at least 1 year of relevant experience, and evening shifts (3pm-11pm).

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field required.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
• 1+ year of outpatient or inpatient experience preferred.
• Crisis experience preferred.
• Excellent clinical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situations for each patient.
• Collaborate with patients, families, healthcare team, and community agencies to plan care.
• Evaluate plan effectiveness and adjust as needed.
