Job summary

AlphaGov delivers public-sector consulting across cities, counties, school systems, utilities, and related agencies. We seek an EV Charging Infrastructure Planner for county work, with remote-first collaboration and occasional client travel.

You will assess EV adoption, siting and demand, analyze grid capacity and funding (NEVI, CFI, NYSERDA), and produce an implementation plan. This is a 1099 project-based consultant role requiring strong collaboration and proposal input.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in EV charging planning or transportation electrification.
• Experience with charging siting and demand modeling.
• Comfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant.

Responsibilities

• Assess EV adoption, charging demand, and gaps.
• Site and prioritize public charging locations.
• Analyze grid capacity, costs, ownership models, and funding (NEVI, CFI, NYSERDA).
• Produce an implementation plan.
• Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming.
