Job summary

First American’s Mortgage Solutions team is seeking an Escrow Assistant to support escrow branch operations by disbursing escrow funds, reviewing closing documents, and balancing files under supervision.

The role requires 1+ year of banking/escrow experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office and escrow software, attention to detail, and strong customer service. Hours may range 8:00am–7:30pm; pay is $20.34–$27.12 per hour with remote options.

Qualifications

• 1+ years Banking and/or Escrow experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and escrow software; 40 WPM typing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine correspondence.
• Strong math ability to calculate figures and percentages.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Detail oriented with good planning and time management.
• Knowledge of settlement statements (Closing Disclosure and ALTA).

Responsibilities

• Assist escrow branch operations with disbursement of escrow transactions by setting up a disbursement ledger with checks and wires.
• Review and prepare closing files for disbursement once the file is closed.
• Confirm that file balances are accurate and disburse funds per direction.
• Work with escrow officers and Title Agents to balance files that have closed and disburse the file.
