Markent Personnel is seeking an Employment Special Counsel to join its Labor & Employment Practice Group. This fully remote, full-time role focuses on EPLI matters, handling complex employment litigation across multiple jurisdictions.

The candidate will manage cases from inception to resolution and collaborate with a national team, contributing to strategy and client service in a confidential, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in state of residence, in good standing.
• 8+ years of substantive employment litigation experience, with emphasis on EPLI matters.
• Experience handling employment-related claims including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and wrongful termination.
• Ability to manage EPLI cases from inception through resolution.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong advocacy and client-facing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle a full caseload of EPLI matters, including litigation, mediation, and pre-litigation counseling.
• Represent insureds and insurers in employment-related disputes across state and federal forums.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement documentation with precision and strategic insight.
• Advise clients on employment law risk management and litigation strategy.
• Collaborate with attorneys and firm professionals nationwide on complex employment matters.
• Maintain strict compliance with ethical obligations and firm confidentiality policies.
