Eckceptional Search seeks an Employment Special Counsel to join its Labor & Employment practice, focusing exclusively on EPLI matters. This fully remote, full-time role offers the opportunity to work with a sophisticated employment litigation team handling complex, high-stakes matters for prominent clients across multiple jurisdictions.

Candidates should have a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar in their state, and at least 8 years in employment litigation with EPLI expertise.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in state of residence, in good standing.
• 8 years of substantive employment litigation experience with a strong emphasis on EPLI matters.
• Experience handling discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage/hour, and wrongful termination claims.
• Proven ability to manage EPLI cases from inception through resolution.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy with strong client-facing capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating with a national team.
• Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment with sensitive matters.
• Experience applying AI-driven technologies to improve efficiency and client service.

Responsibilities

• Handle a full caseload of EPLI matters, including litigation, mediation, and pre-litigation counseling.
• Represent insureds and insurers in employment-related disputes across state and federal forums.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement documents with precision and strategic insight.
• Advise clients on employment law risk management and litigation strategy.
• Collaborate with attorneys and firm professionals nationwide on complex employment matters.
• Maintain strict compliance with ethical obligations and confidentiality.
