Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an IT Business Analyst specialized in Epic applications. The role focuses on mapping and improving clinical and business processes, gathering requirements, and configuring Epic modules to meet care delivery needs.

You will conduct workflow analyses, develop test plans, and train users while collaborating with clinical staff and IT teams. A Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of IT/clinical experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.
• Typically 3 years in IT or clinical environment with business process mapping and requirements.
• Experience with Epic and other Healthcare applications.
• Project management experience with PM software.

Responsibilities

• Map, measure, analyze and improve clinical and business processes for Epic applications.
• Conduct workflow analysis and map critical business processes.
• Prepare documentation for business requirements with diagrams and data models.
• Configure systems to meet business requirements and develop test plans.
• Perform unit, integration, system and UAT testing and track issues.
• Develop training materials and train end users and trainers.
• Explain application functionality to users and assist with usage.
• Develop and maintain product documentation and change control artifacts.
• Communicate project status and plan upgrades to clinic users.
