Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Area Manager with a focus on Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation. The role oversees a group of programs to achieve KPIs, with location open to OH, KY, IN, IL, and MO and a requirement to perform billable work.

Responsibilities span operations, project delivery, and people management, including leading ~125 staff, driving forecast accuracy, improving dashboard metrics, and growing profitable backlog for client programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident; no sponsorship.
• 15+ years related experience including 8+ years operations management and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Act as escalation point for project issues and improve performance.
• Forecast financial performance (Pro Forma, Path to Plan, Annual Plan).
• Monitor cash flow and working capital within the department.
• Align with PDS and QMS requirements for project delivery.
• Maintain Salesforce pipeline data and forecast outputs.
• Drive program performance to meet client KPIs.
• Develop solutions to client problems and participate in major project reviews.
• Collaborate with leadership to grow backlog and profitability.
