Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products seeks a Senior Environmental Specialist/Environmental Engineer to ensure EHS&S compliance across North American operations. You will lead permit activities, submissions to USEPA and state agencies, and drive continuous environmental performance improvements.

This role reports to the Senior Director – Corporate E&S and requires clear communication with sites and leaders, knowledge of air quality regulations, and EMS auditing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Science or Engineering related fields or relevant experience.
• 3+ years in EHS and/or manufacturing with EHS responsibility.
• Excellent communication across departments to facilitate integration.
• Knowledge of air quality or other environmental regulations.
• Strong project and process management skills with large projects.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain environmental permits for plants, sites and projects.
• Prepare and submit reports for USEPA and state agencies.
• Assist in compliance tests and EMS documentation.
• Report permit violations to management and agencies as needed.
• Coordinate compliance reviews, inspections and internal assessments.
• Stay informed on environmental legislation and best practices.
• Develop and update environmental requirements with IPG and CRH.
• Track metrics and improve environmental performance.
• Support site EMS improvements with other analysts.
