Job summary

Mims Financial Services, LLC is expanding its remote independent life insurance sales team. You will work with clients to assess needs, present policy options, and build your own book with support from the agency.

This is a remote, 1099 role paid entirely by commissions. Training and mentorship are available to help you grow product knowledge and sales skills, with licensing guidance as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, dependable, and client-focused approach.
• Willingness to learn insurance products, sales practices, and applicable regulations.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage follow-up activities.
• Comfort using digital tools, virtual communication platforms, and client-management systems.
• An active insurance license, or willingness to obtain before regulated activities.
• Previous sales or client-facing experience is beneficial; entry-level applicants welcome.

Responsibilities

• Connect with prospective clients to understand needs and goals.
• Explain available insurance products and help clients evaluate options.
• Conduct client consultations by phone, video, or other methods.
• Assist clients with applications and follow up on underwriting and policy placement.
• Maintain accurate client records and follow up on service requests.
• Develop professional client relationships and participate in training.
• Follow insurance laws, carrier guidelines, ethics, and privacy requirements.
• Keep licensing requirements up to date and comply with regulations.
