Job summary

InterPayments, a San Francisco-based FinTech SaaS company, seeks a Solutions Architect to own end-to-end enterprise payment integrations. You will map complex transaction flows, craft architecture diagrams, and write concrete integration specs while leading technical discussions with customers and partners.

The role is remote, with up to 5% travel to events and reports to the Manager of Solutions Architecture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical, customer-facing payments role with 3+ years leading technical design of enterprise payment integrations.
• Fluency in the payment lifecycle: authorization, capture, void, refund, settlement and reconciliation.
• Direct experience with a payment gateway/acquirer or orchestration platform.
• Ability to read API docs, prototype API calls, and parse logs.
• Proven ability to produce professional architecture and sequence diagrams.
• Experience presenting integration designs to non-technical executives and driving decisions.

Responsibilities

• Map a customer’s end-to-end transaction flow to identify surcharge insertion points.
• Produce architecture diagrams and flow docs guiding enterprise engagements.
• Write prescriptive integration specifications detailing endpoints, data, and order.
• Lead architecture reviews and integration sessions with customer engineers.
