Job summary

Premera Blue Cross in the United States seeks a Membership Specialist II to perform moderate to complex reconciliation analysis and audit activities for Individual or Group accounts receivable using reconciliation databases, receipts, and basic accounting principles.

This role works 7am–5pm PT in Pacific/Mountain/Central Time Zones and involves educating members, brokers, or groups on billing processes and contract interpretation, with opportunities for growth within a supportive benefits

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (Required).
• Two years of accounting/finance/bookkeeping experience or an Associate’s Degree (Required).
• One year of Membership Analyst I or reconciliation experience (Required).

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve and document complex reconciliation discrepancies independently.
• Process refunds, transfers of premiums, reinstatements, and insufficient fund issues.
• Enrolment changes and maintain notes; update eligibility and enrollment using reports.
• Audit group or individual premiums and membership to ensure accuracy.
• Use Access/Excel to update eligibility, enrollment and reconciliation of accounts.
• Meet department metrics for production and quality and stay current with policies.
