Job summary

Airbnb is seeking an Engineering Manager for the AirCover Insurance Platform. You will lead a senior staff engineering team responsible for building a scalable, globally deployed insurance platform supporting region-by-region expansion and experimentation.

You will partner with Product, Data Science, Legal and Insurance to align priorities, architecture, and reliability, while growing engineers and delivering end-to-end ownership of initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in tech with 5+ years as an Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term technical strategy and architecture for AirCover.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, Legal and Insurance leaders to set priorities.
• Lead the team to build auditable, scalable policy and pricing systems.
• Own the team roadmap, technical direction and operational health.
• Align stakeholders on a common platform approach.
• Stay close to the code through design and reviews.
• Hire, mentor and develop engineers and support career growth.
