Job summary

College Board seeks an Engineering Manager for the Accommodations Management platform. This remote role requires hands-on coding in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and AWS, paired with people leadership to guide a cross-functional team of engineers.

You will own design and delivery of scalable, secure platform capabilities, drive modern engineering practices, and collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and Compliance to align technical direction with business goals.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years managing engineers.
• Hands-on development with TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks (React).
• Experience building AWS cloud-native applications.
• Ability to lead cross-functional delivery and architecture while coding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team.
• Contribute to system design and hands-on development with TS/JS, React, AWS.
• Deliver scalable, secure platform capabilities from design through production.
• Establish modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
• Collaborate with architects, security, and compliance to align on technical direction.
