Job summary

TALENT Software Services seeks an Engineering Manager for the Accommodations Management team in Reston to blend hands‑on coding with people leadership. You will guide architecture and delivery using TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and AWS services, while shaping reliable, scalable platform capabilities.

You will manage 6–8 engineers, drive CI/CD, testing, observability, and security practices, and partner with Product, Architecture, Security, and other enterprise teams to deliver value.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years of people management.
• Hands-on development with TS/JS, React, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Contributes to system design and architecture while coding.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and security practices.
• Leads teams through complex, cross-functional delivery initiatives and fosters growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high‑performing engineering team (30%).
• Drive hands‑on technical leadership and end‑to‑end delivery from design to production.
• Enable cross‑team alignment with product, architecture, security, and stakeholders.
