Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with a SaaS client, is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a small team of engineers. This is a 70% hands-on development and 30% leadership opportunity within a TypeScript, AI-forward team including AI/LLM experience.

Remote work with high autonomy and ownership in decision-making. You will pair program, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product Managers to guide architecture and AI/LLM workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience in a full stack TypeScript environment.
• 1+ years working with AI/LLM technologies
• Experience with AI-assisted software development workflows
• Expertise in TypeScript, React, Node.js, AWS

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and own sprint execution
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers for team performance
• Maintain familiarity with the team's architecture and code
• Integrate or build with Large Language Models (LLMs)
