Parity is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a ~9-person engineering team within our distributed, remote-first organisation. You’ll balance people leadership with delivery and architecture awareness, guiding planning, priorities, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role emphasises team health, mentorship, and pragmatic decision-making over hands-on coding, with scope to grow as Parity expands across Europe and time zones.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams in a technical environment.
• Strong delivery management skills including planning and dependency management.
• Technical depth to understand architecture and discuss with senior engineers.
• Experience working with distributed teams across time zones.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach, and support a team of around 9 engineers within one of our functions.
• Create a healthy, high-trust team environment with a strong focus on people management.
• Drive planning, prioritisation, and execution across complex technical workstreams.
• Negotiate timelines and delivery trade-offs with stakeholders in a clear and pragmatic way.
• Build technical context to understand architecture discussions and translate them into executable plans.
• Partner with technical leaders to keep projects moving and unblock delivery.
• Improve team ways of working and delivery predictability in a distributed environment.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members as the organisation grows.
