Job summary

General Motors seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead delivery, modernization, and operational excellence for CCA Order Entry and Retail Inventory applications. You will manage an established engineering team, contribute in code reviews, and align engineering with GM’s Cloud First and AI First direction.

You’ll partner with product, architecture, cybersecurity, and operations teams to drive reliability, scalability, and modern software practices, while coaching engineers toward growth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineering teams in enterprise environments.
• Ability to remain technically hands-on with code reviews and selective development.
• Experience delivering and supporting business-critical applications.
• Strong grasp of CI/CD, testing strategy, observability, secure development, and production support.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional delivery with product, architecture, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team for CCA Order Entry and Retail Inventory apps.
• Provide code guidance, review PRs, and contribute hands-on when needed.
• Own delivery execution, production stability, and modernization planning.
• Partner with product, architecture, and cybersecurity teams to deliver reliable software.
• Drive cloud migration strategy and AI-enabled capabilities.
