Job summary

General Motors is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team within our Software Aligned Vehicle organization. You will oversee the development and delivery of critical software solutions, driving technical excellence and strategic initiatives to advance vehicle software distribution platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role.
• Proven experience coaching and mentoring software engineers at various career stages.
• Ability to drive cross-functional leadership and collaboration with diverse teams.
• Strong background in performance management, including goal setting and reviews.
• Expertise in Agile/Scrum and best practices for large-scale systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to attract, hire, and retain engineering talent.
