Qualifikationen

• Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM.
• Extensive management experience with a track record of leadership.
• Outstanding Linux-based software engineering track record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Public speaking and presentation skills.
• Love of developing people and track record of growth.
• Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring software developers.
• Agile development experience and organisation skills.
• Ability to travel twice a year for company events.

Aufgaben

• Lead multiple teams of engineers, ranging from graduate to senior.
• Develop engineering managers and maintain Canonical culture.
• Hire staff level engineers for performance and quality roles.
• Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback.
• Identify and measure team health and productivity indicators.
• Ensure well-rounded delivery including community involvement and docs.
• Implement disciplined engineering processes and defend them.
• Set and measure progress against benchmark goals for speed and efficiency.
• Represent products to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
• Develop and evangelise great engineering practices.
• Plan and manage progress on goals and projects.
• Be an active part of the leadership team and collaborate with other leads.
