Job summary

Canonical is hiring an Engineering Manager for Sustaining Engineering who leads a distributed team building and improving open source software across Linux and cloud platforms. You will guide technical delivery, grow engineers, and influence culture while reporting to the global Director of Sustaining Engineering.

The role is globally remote, with occasional travel up to 10%. You will mentor engineers, drive KPIs, and coordinate with multiple teams to deliver bug fixes and patches across Ubuntu,

Qualifications

• Experience delivering software end-to-end in production.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership experience managing distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a distributed team of engineers.
• Hire, coach, mentor, provide feedback and career development guidance.
• Manage & measure KPIs and training programs.
• Support timely delivery of bug fixes, patches and technical solutions.
