Canonical is a pioneering tech firm behind Ubuntu, hiring globally for a technical management role. You will lead a remote team building Python and Golang micro-services powering a SaaS distribution engine and marketplaces, while shaping an engineering culture aligned with core values.

You will mentor engineers, review code, and drive a healthy delivery workflow. Expect collaboration with product managers, architects, and security teams, plus opportunities to travel for sprints and strategic

• Experience leading modern, agile software development practices.
• Ability to form a healthy engineering culture aligned with company values.
• Demonstrated role-model for sound engineering principles and contributing toward team goals.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a remote team of engineers in your time zone.
• Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and career development.
• Set and manage expectations with other engineering teams, management, and external stakeholders.
• Be an active part of the leadership team and collaborate with other leaders in the organisation.
• With your team, build clean web service APIs to support both CLI and web frontend clients, using Python (and optionally Golang).
• Engage with many other teams at Canonical, as well as open-source communities and partners.
