Job summary

Cascade Energy is seeking an Engineer II with Energy Efficiency and Retro-commissioning experience to assess operations and identify energy-saving opportunities in industrial or commercial facilities.

You will lead projects, gather data, build optimization models, and write feasibility reports while ensuring quality and peer reviews. This role involves travel and client engagement, with a focus on delivering measurable energy savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years engineering experience, preferably energy related.
• Technical knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air systems, steam systems, system modeling, electrical distribution, data-logging.
• Experience in energy efficiency in commercial/industrial facilities.
• Experience doing retro-commissioning (RCx).
• Experience with Strategic Energy Management (SEM).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects with overall management, direction, and accountability.
• Calculate energy savings for system changes using established tools and methodologies.
• Engage with on-site clients to identify energy-efficiency opportunities.
• Grow client relationships and identify new work with current clients.
• Produce energy-efficiency reports and maintain data documents and compliance.
