Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior consultant to help clients navigate the energy transition, from new generation to grid modernization and data center energy campus development. You will work on multidisciplinary teams delivering rigorous analysis and practical recommendations for power and energy projects.

The role requires managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced consulting environment, with strong client interaction and ownership of deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, business, public policy, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the energy/power industry, including consulting/advisory roles.
• Direct client interaction and responsibility for analytical work products.
• Experience with electric or gas utilities, IPPs, project developers, grid operators, or energy investors.
• Strong ability to deliver clear, structured deliverables (Excel models, PowerPoint decks, reports).
• Experience participating in client meetings and workshops; ability to engage with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support project development and strategic planning, including market, technology, and policy assessments.
• Lead or contribute to economic and cost analyses, risk assessments and contracting strategies.
• Support or manage technical due diligence and owner’s engineering reviews for power projects.
• Provide client program and project management support, improving governance and processes.
• Develop conceptual plans with Sargent & Lundy’s technical teams and present strategies to clients.
