Job summary

The Sargent & Lundy Consulting (SLC) group helps clients navigate the energy transition with in‑depth market, technology, and policy assessments, economics analyses, and governance improvements.

You will work on multidisciplinary teams on projects ranging from new generation to grid modernization and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, business, public policy, or related field.
• 10+ years in energy/power industry with consulting/advisory experience.
• Experience with client interaction and analytical work products.
• Experience with utilities, IPPs, developers, grid operators, or energy investors.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with quantitative models.

Responsibilities

• Support project development and strategic planning, including market, technology, and policy assessments.
• Lead and contribute to project economic and cost analyses, risk assessments, and contracting strategies.
• Support or manage due diligence and owner’s engineering reviews for power and energy projects.
• Provide client program and project management support, improving governance and processes.
• Develop conceptual plans with Sargent & Lundy’s technical teams.
• Prepare and present project implementation strategies to client executives.
• Translate complex findings into client-ready deliverables, including reports and presentations.
• Lead discrete workstreams within larger client engagements.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities of junior team members and review their work.
