Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead a nationwide, fully remote project. You will collaborate across engineering, scheduling, budgeting, and procurement to plan and direct preconstruction activities from LNTP through closeout.

In this role you will manage cost control, set up CMiC, prepare bid packages, supervise engineers and clerical staff, and maintain timely reporting on cost forecasts and EAC. Travel ~25% is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience.
• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent)
• Leadership ability – able to pull together team members from diverse backgrounds in a remote environment and organize them into a cohesive, high-performing project team
• 5+ years construction experience and 2+ years scheduling and estimating experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements
• Prepare billings and expedite payments
• Set up and maintain all aspects of the CMiC system
• Prepare bid packages and solicit and evaluate bids
• Write project procedures
• Review plans for completeness and accuracy
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff
• Ensure procurement activities align with LNTP scope, budget, and schedules
• Collaborate with business development, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal for contract scopes of work
• Define and create LNTPs
• Research and understand project design requirements
• Liaison with Engineering Manager to track changes affecting schedule/budget
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings
• Support estimating reconciliation for design iterations
• Maintain timely reporting on cost forecasting and EAC
• Manage project risk with mitigation plans
• Develop relationships with Owner, Engineers, Vendors and Subcontractors
