Job summary

SOLVE Energy, Inc. is seeking a Preconstruction Project Engineer for Energy Storage to support the preconstruction team remotely. You will coordinate deliverables, manage design comments, RFIs, and BOMs, and partner with engineering and operations to ensure project profitability and schedule adherence.

The role emphasizes collaboration across estimating, procurement, and project management to validate design assumptions, equipment lead times, and site logistics for energy storage EPC projects.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of energy storage construction or design experience or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of construction cost accounting.
• Drafting and advanced computer skills are a plus.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and self-start.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Precon PM and engineering teams to coordinate deliverables and maintain project documentation.
• Manage drawings, RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, cost tracking and quality documentation in CMiC.
• Support subcontractor coordination, safety planning, and engineering functions with Operations.
• Coordinate transition from preconstruction to construction including LNTP development and readiness for execution teams.
• Assist in scheduling (CPM) development and alignment of design deliverables with procurement and field execution.
• Track design changes and revisions impacting cost, schedule, or construction methods, ensuring project alignment.
