Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead a standalone project from planning through closeout.

You will collaborate with engineering, scheduling, budgeting, and procurement teams in a fully remote setup with travel as needed. Responsibilities include cost control, bid package preparation, CMiC system management, LNTP creation, and cross‑department coordination to meet budgets and schedules while maintaining strong owner relationships and risk

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience.
• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• Field experience (5-8 years) as Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Leadership and remote-team coordination skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Bluebeam Revu; knowledge of CMiC is a plus.
• Basic contract law and project accounting knowledge.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%.
• 5+ years construction experience and 2+ years scheduling/estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Preconstruction Project Manager duties for individual projects.
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain the CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and solicit/evaluate bids.
• Write project procedures and review plans for completeness/accuracy.
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff.
• Ensure procurement aligns with LNTP scope, budget, schedules.
• Collaborate with BD, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal to create scopes of work.
• Coordinate LNTPs with design constraints and long-lead procurement items.
• Define and create LNTPs; research project design requirements.
• Track changes impacting schedule/budget and report to Project Executive.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings; support estimating reconciliation.
• Provide timely reporting on cost forecasting and estimate at completion.
• Identify and mitigate project risks with the team; develop mitigation plans.
• Build strong relationships with Owner, Engineers, Vendors, and Subcontractors.
