Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead a single project remotely, coordinating with engineering, scheduling, budgeting and closeout documentation. The role involves LNTP creation, bid packages, and procurement management.

You will supervise engineers and staff, manage contract scopes, track costs and risk, and report progress to management. Travel about 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience.
• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent).
• Leadership ability - able to pull together team members in a remote environment.
• Effective written and verbal communications skills and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office suite, as well as Bluebeam Revu or similar tools.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Organizational and communication skills; must have strong people skills.
• Able to travel (estimated 25%).
• 5+ years construction experience.
• 2+ years scheduling and estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a Preconstruction Project Manager role for an energy storage project.
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain the CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and evaluate bids.
• Develop project procedures and ensure plan accuracy.
• Supervise Preconstruction Engineers and clerical staff.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for scope, budget, and schedule.
• Manage procurement in line with LNTP scope and lead times.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and other departments on contracts.
• Track schedule impacts and report to Project Executive.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings and during design iterations.
• Support estimating reconciliation and cost forecasting.
• Maintain timely project reporting to management.
