Job summary

AtkinsRéalis US Nuclear seeks an experienced Proposal Manager to lead the development of compliant, compelling proposals for federal and commercial nuclear programs. This remote-friendly position reports to the Chief Growth Officer and coordinates with a cross-functional team to ensure timely submission of RFPs/RFQs.

The role requires deep federal contracting experience, leadership of multi-disciplinary teams, and strong writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 15 years of proposal development experience with US government programs.
• At least 10 years of experience with Federal Government Acquisition and related Proposal Development environments (DOE EM/TA etc.).
• Commercial Nuclear experience desired.
• Experience managing complex, multi-contributor proposals under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted proposal workflows and content libraries is valued.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the proposal process from receipt of RFP/RFQ to final submission.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, assign contributors, and manage production plans.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements; conduct structured quality reviews.
• Prepare clear and persuasive proposals and manage submission portals.
• Engage contracts, legal and procurement to align terms and conditions.
• Develop relationships with customers and strategic partners; participate in strategic planning.
