Job summary

ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is seeking a Performance Engineer to join the Public Sector East team for New England or New York. The role requires significant travel (25%–50%), including overnights, and focuses on delivering technically sound energy solutions for facility projects.

You will lead energy analyses, cost projections, and plan measurement/verification if applicable, guiding delivery teams to achieve exceptional customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited Engineering/Technology program or equivalent.
• Three to eight years' experience in a construction or energy service related field.

Responsibilities

• Conducts site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies and analyzes utility bills.
• Develops technical plans and communicates solutions and risk to internal teams and customers.
• Performs energy savings calculations, life cycle cost analysis, and feasibility analysis of recommendations.
• Creates financial models and coordinates with Account Executive and Project Manager to present proposals.
• Ensures smooth installations and acts as a technical liaison between operations and sales teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited Engineering/Technology program or equivalent

Three (3) to eight (8) years' experience in a construction or energy service related field
