Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a part-time translator/interpreter fluent in English and Spanish to support evaluations and family communications. The role involves real-time interpretation for students and families, plus translating written materials as needed.

A confidentiality mindset and professional ethics are essential in EI/CPSE settings. Hours are flexible as needed, with remote work possible for New York-area residents; compensation is hourly.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse families.
• Ability to pass background checks and provide health records.

Responsibilities

• Perform oral interpretation and translation for students and families during evaluations and as assigned.
• Provide real-time interpretation during assessments.
• Convey meaning and tone accurately between English and Spanish.
• Translate written documents such as reports and summaries on request.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics in EI and CPSE settings.
• Remain neutral and unbiased during assignments.
