Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, including grammar, syntax, idioms, and cultural nuances.
• Familiarity with translation methodologies to preserve meaning, tone and context.
• Knowledge of cultural norms in Spanish-speaking regions.
• Clear written and spoken communication in Spanish and English with high accuracy.
• Strong time management to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously and with a team in translation/editorial settings.
• Adaptability to regional dialects and variations of Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time, in-person and virtual translation during client intake, therapy sessions, case management, and other clinical or administrative interactions.
• Translate written materials such as consent forms, treatment plans, educational resources, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure translations maintain original meaning, tone and cultural context.
• Assist staff in understanding cultural nuances that impact communication or treatment.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and organizational privacy standards.
• Support crisis intervention communications when needed, under supervision.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to improve language access services.
• Be available for scheduling translation for all appointments within your location.
• Keeps track of all services rendered.
