Ogletree Deakins, a leading labor and employment law firm, seeks an experienced litigator for a flexible remote role in Florida. The attorney will handle full-cycle employment litigation defenses, from strategy to pleadings and discovery, with a lower billable target compared to partner-track tracks.

The position emphasizes independence, strong client service, and collaboration with client teams handling major clients. Licensing in FL and 5+ years of relevant litigation experience are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of residence as well as required jurisdiction.
• Florida license in good standing is required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of employment litigation experience.
• Excellent analytical and writing skills; strong organizational abilities.
• High self-motivation, accountability for work product, and responsiveness.
• Ability to manage and collaborate with attorneys, staff, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Defend employers in employment litigation and charges of discrimination.
• Develop defense strategies and conduct legal research.
• Draft pleadings and manage discovery-related activities (including motions).
• Draft dispositive motions and supervise firm professionals.
• Take/defend depositions and discuss motions, mediations, hearings, or trials when required.
• May require in-person participation depending on jurisdiction and location.
