Ladders, a leader in the Legal & Accounting space, seeks a Remote Employment Counsel to provide trusted labor and employment law guidance to clients. You will support policy development, training, and legal counseling across a broad range of topics while contributing to client education through webinars and written materials in a remote environment.

Location: Remote. Compensation ranges from $190,000 to $207,500 annually, with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Remote - Employment Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Legal & Accounting space.
This role will serve as a trusted advisor on labor and employment law matters, helping clients navigate day-to-day workplace issues with practical, business-minded guidance. The attorney will support policy development, training efforts, and legal counseling across a range of employment topics. This position also involves contributing to client education through webinars and written materials in a remote environment.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $190,000 – $207,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including hiring and leave issues
• Develop and conduct recorded webinars on employment-related topics
• Draft, revise, and update employment policies, handbooks, and forms for clients
• Provide guidance on reasonable accommodations, discipline and discharge, and investigations
• Participate in remote work and annual firm retreats

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor required and must be licensed to practice law in good standing
• 7+ years of labor and employment law experience
• Extensive experience advising clients on employment-related issues and drafting policies
• Experience conducting training sessions on employment law
• Subject matter expertise in DOT/trucking law or related areas preferred
