Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Quality Management Branch Manager in Austin to lead the multidisciplinary QMB team, ensuring WIC reviews meet requirements and that QA/QI processes are implemented across the Local Agency program. You will drive training, performance management, and timely reporting, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

You will oversee policy standardization, staff development, and the corrective action framework while maintaining

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with course work in business, public health, audit/compliance, public administration, nutrition, audit, finance, or related field.
• Three years experience in quality assurance, compliance, auditing, monitoring, nutrition, federal or state programs required.
• Three years experience in a team lead or managerial role required.
• Experience with WIC or other federal and state programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, promotes professional growth, and builds a cohesive team.
• Directs and oversees the operations of QMB by developing standardization of policies and procedures.
• Manages and develops QMB staff through review of performance data, training and evaluations.
• Serves as a subject matter expert on WIC clinical and fiscal review standards for the team.
• Oversees and manages the development of review monitoring tools and reports.
