Job summary

The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) seeks an Assistant Manager of Procurement (Professional Services and Commodities) to lead a diverse team and manage complex procurements across rolling stock, IT, and services. The role covers end-to-end procurement from bids through contract closeouts, ensuring regulatory compliance and collaboration with IT, HR, Finance, Legal and PMs on multiple initiatives.

• Knowledge of procurement policies and regulations; experience with professional services, IT and rolling stock procurement.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to lead teams and present to executives.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and maintain procurement records.

• Oversee acquisition of rolling stock, IT, professional services and commodities in compliance with regulations.
• Provide supervision and technical guidance to Procurement Specialists.
• Lead complex procurements, analyze spend and market data, and manage bid processes.
