Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator I to act as a professional liaison for patients and families, care providers, and other departments. The role uses critical thinking to manage complex scheduling using multiple systems and to ensure smooth transitions in care, developing trusted relationships with patients.

This role offers partial on-site work at the South Lake Union Campus and remote work, with 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week) Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

Qualifications

Demonstrated customer service skills.
Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing.
Proficient in MS Word, email, and data entry in Windows-based environment.
Ability to solve complex problems and meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

Schedule all patient appointments related to treatment and referrals; coordinate with departments to ensure efficient flow.
Work with patients, families, visitors, providers, and staff to identify needs and provide information.
Update patient demographics and insurance information in registration databases.
