Job summary

M.I.N.D is seeking a Patient Financial Coordinator-Infusion/Injectables for a 30-hour-per-week schedule in Farmington Hills, MI. You will facilitate patient access to infusion/Injectables, verify demographics and insurance, and handle benefit investigations to support timely treatments.

Responsibilities include communicating with the infusion scheduler, enrolling patients in assistance programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory policies in a medical office setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field.
• Experience with health insurance guidelines, programs and plans; patient and copay assistance programs; Medicare/Medicaid health plans.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and patient billing procedures.
• Minimum two years infusion intake or prior authorization experience preferred.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and quality in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient demographics, insurance and forms for accuracy.
• Validate treatment orders and accompanying testing.
• Ensure clinical and authorization requirements are completed before treatment.
• Conduct benefit investigation for new patient referrals.
• Identify providers if insurance constraints prevent service.
• Contact new start patients to review financial policy and copay assistance.
• Enroll patients in care support and copay assistance programs.
• Communicate intake status to nursing and infusion scheduling.
• Develop and document workflow changes; ensure compliance with policies.
