The University of Minnesota is seeking an Outreach Educator for the Center for Jewish Studies to expand the center's educational mission beyond the classroom. You will create and deliver programming for students, staff, and external audiences, and engage with donors to support the center’s goals across campus and communities.

The role involves on-campus presence with remote work days, travel to off-campus locations, and collaboration with the CJS Director to grow audience reach and impact.

Qualificações

• BA/BS plus four years teaching Jewish Studies to college/adult audiences.
• Experience developing educational programming for diverse audiences.
• Experience teaching controversial topics to potentially resistant audiences.
• Two years outreach programming experience.
• Two years donor engagement with academic Jewish studies.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Evidence of on-campus and community relationships for rapid programming.
• Intermediate knowledge of Modern Hebrew.

Responsabilidades

• Create and deliver campus educational programming for Jewish and non-Jewish groups.
• Deliver programming to off-campus groups including churches, synagogues, and civic organizations.
• Recruit CJS members to deliver occasional programming.
• Identify and recruit new audiences for CJS outreach.
• Provide on-demand educational resources to campus and community.
• Support donor relations and educate UMN professionals about Jewish studies.
• Create monthly reports tracking outreach activities and outcomes.
