Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Call Center Rep (Scheduler) to join the Patient Connection Hub in Lexington, KY. The role includes scheduling appointments, entering data into the EHR, and resolving patient and provider inquiries. After meeting criteria, the position transitions to a Work-from-Home setup.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong research and problem-solving abilities.
• Must pass a thorough background check and drug screen.
• Excellent attendance, punctuality, and ability to meet metrics are crucial to being successful in this role.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments electronically for new and established patients.
• Accepts incoming calls promptly and makes outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Inputs information into the EHR with a high degree of accuracy.
• Resolves patient and provider questions related to referrals, pre-authorizations/pre-certifications and insurance verifications.
• Indexes medical records according to defined processes.
• Demonstrates the highest level of commitment, compassion and customer service for patients, providers and team members.
• Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with clear, concise information while following grammar rules.
• Demonstrates strong telephone communication and etiquette skills.
• Maintains composure during moments of stress and maintains a helpful disposition.
• Excellent attendance and ability to meet established metrics are crucial to success in this role.
