KONE is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to lead elevator modernization efforts, planning, designing and improving mechanical aspects of equipment. You will support installation and collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines to improve quality, efficiency and reliability.

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience and a BS in Mechanical Engineering. This role is based in Moline, IL with flexible location options within the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive and successful mechanical engineering experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience with design, development and manufacture of mechanical parts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide technicians or drafters on specific projects when needed.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and support Pre-Bid requirements.
• Design or develop parts and components across project phases.
• Coordinate activities of Level I engineers or technicians.
• Select materials based on strength, environment, fatigue, manufacturability and cost.
• Familiarity with FEA modeling and interpretation is a plus.
