Job summary

WebPT Inc is seeking a Payment Posting Supervisor to lead the cash posting team and ensure timely, accurate processing of postings, receipts, and remittances.

Responsibilities include scheduling, month-end balancing, audits, and process improvements, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and staff development. Opportunity to work from various locations in the US; salary range discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• Three years in billing, collection, and/or posting in a healthcare setting.
• Two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and various medical billing systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Post secondary education in accounting or finance.
• Ability to delegate work assignments appropriately.
• Collaborate effectively with management and other groups.
• Awareness of budgets and financial goals.
• Strong planning and organization to achieve productivity.
• Strong math and problem-solving aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day schedule and direction of Payment Posters.
• Coordinate with managers for daily and month-end balancing.
• Coordinate with co-supervisor(s) and staff to conduct cash posting and month-end processes.
• Coordinate with internal resources for reporting issues.
• Perform audits and provide feedback to staff.
• Ensure workflow protocols promote efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and implement posting procedures to promote growth and efficiency.
• Review posting and administrative status regularly.
• Supervise staff including performance management, training, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
• Handle escalated cash posting concerns from other departments.
• Post revenue-related A/R cash receipts and denials.
• Translate payer-specific denial or payment codes into HIPAA-compliant reject codes.
• Balance posting batches and participate in month-end balancing.
• Research, track, and trend payment discrepancies.
• Communicate trends to staff and upper management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
