Job summary

Blue Yonder seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer Director to lead delivery of defense and AI-enabled solutions across enterprise environments. You will capably oversee multiple teams of engineers, architects, and SMEs, shaping solution design from requirements to deployment.

The role combines technical leadership with customer engagement, delivery excellence, and program management to drive measurable business outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years leading customer-facing software delivery in enterprise environments.
• 2+ years of people or technical leadership of engineers and architects.
• 3-5 years hands-on software development or full-stack experience.
• Experience with enterprise software implementations from requirements to production deployments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of Blue Yonder Defense Solutions and AI-enabled platforms.
• Lead customer engagements from requirements through deployment and optimization.
• Manage teams of engineers, architects, and technical SMEs, including objective setting and performance management.
• Guide technical decisions, code reviews, and delivery across customer engagements.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Sales, and Partner teams to address requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Support MVPs, proofs of concept, and solution design with effort estimation and pricing inputs.
• Monitor delivery quality, scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and client expectations.
