Job summary

C3 AI seeks a Director of Forward Deployed Engineering to own a portfolio of federal accounts from signature to production and expansion. You will lead a team of Forward Deployed Engineers and Team Leads, guiding technical delivery, governance, and accreditation work for government networks.

You will set the technical and commercial roadmap for engagements, communicate with program executives, and ensure scope discipline amid shifting priorities and budgets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in management consulting or FDE/delivery leadership.
• Experience delivering for federal customers across civilian agencies and DoD.
• Direct experience with AI agent deployment and enterprise AI platforms in production.
• Executive presence delivering program executive and agency leadership briefings.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery outcomes across a portfolio of federal accounts from signature to production and expansion.
• Set engagement structure (scope, milestones, dependencies, value hypotheses).
• Lead executive briefings and steering committee updates with program executives and agency sponsors.
• Manage escalation and keep engagements green when timelines risk.
• Lead and develop Forward Deployed Engineers and Team Leads.
