Job summary

Gatewood Wealth Solutions seeks an experienced Controller to own accounting across holding and operating entities, closing books, managing AR/AP, budgeting, forecasting, and delivering decision-ready reporting for leadership and the board.

The role consolidates results across entities, builds stand-alone packages, and creates clear Excel/QBO dashboards for non-finance leaders. Expect a collaborative, growth-focused finance team and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience with controller or senior manager responsibilities.
• CPA preferred or active license.
• Advanced QuickBooks Online proficiency with multi-entity setup.

Responsibilities

• Own full accounting cycle across holding and operating entities, including journal entries and consolidations.
• Produce monthly consolidated and stand-alone financials with clear variance commentary.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts; monitor and explain variances.
• Manage AR/AP, cash application, and vendor payments; maintain internal controls.
• Build financial models evaluating ROI on investments and growth initiatives.
• Prepare board materials and leadership reporting; translate numbers for non-finance audiences.
• Improve close processes, policies, and financial workflows; support onboarding of new team members.
