Job summary

Energy Systems Group is seeking a Performance Engineer to join our Public Sector East team in New England or New York. The role requires frequent travel (roughly 25%–50%), including overnight stays.

The Performance Engineer serves as the primary technical project developer, translating customer requirements into concrete energy solutions, leading cost analyses, and collaborating with account executives and project managers to ensure successful installations and measurable energy reductions.

Qualifications

• Three to eight years' experience in a construction or energy service related field.

Responsibilities

• Conducts in-depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies; analyzes utility bills, analyzes financials and coordinates with contractors to provide technical solutions.
• Performs energy savings calculations, life cycle cost analysis and feasibility analysis of recommendations; creates energy analyses and establishes guaranteed savings based on proposed measures.
• Creates financial models based on customer parameters and project results; coordinates with Account Executive and Project Manager to develop and present proposals to customers; ensures smooth installations and high-quality work.

Education

ABET accredited Engineering/Technology program or equivalent
