Job summary

EDG is seeking a Distribution Design Technician II to provide engineering design and estimating services for lighting, distribution, and joint-use projects. The role involves using modeling software on poles to evaluate wind loading and to support complex reconductor and feeder rebuilds.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field.
• Experience with distribution design, wind loading, and project estimation preferred.
• Proficient in relevant software tools and modeling packages.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed distribution designs and cost estimates.
• Run modeling software on poles to assess wind loading effects.
• Coordinate with regulators on planning and permitting for complex projects.
• Maintain documentation and communicate status to supervisors and clients.
• Interact with customers, consultants, vendors, and field personnel.
