Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States is seeking a Field Technician to install, maintain, and repair CCTV cabling and related equipment in challenging environments. You will work on voice, video, and data cabling, install cameras and network gear, and coordinate with remote teams to ensure timely resolutions.

The role requires a valid driver's license, 3+ years in a field tech or related role, willingness to travel 25–50%, and familiarity with IP video surveillance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience in a field technician or technical support role in Low Voltage Security or Data Networking.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel across multiple states (25–50%).
• Experience with Avigilon products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair CCTV cabling infrastructure (coaxial, Cat5e/6, fiber).
• Terminate, label, and test voice/video/data cabling and test connectivity.
• Install/relocate camera drops, outlets, patch panels, and media converters.
• Mount and maintain rack-mounted equipment; clean/maintain network closets and data rooms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate surveillance into IT infra.
