Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Eligibility Verification Specialist to support FEHB/PSHB program enrollees by providing inbound telephone support and guidance on dependent eligibility verification. This CSR II role requires strong customer service skills, ability to authenticate callers, protect PII/PHI, and navigate the Portal to assist with submissions, deadlines, and case status.

Remote work is available within 50 miles of McAllen, TX, and the position is contingent on award.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 6 months of customer service experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (5C) suitability determination, including background investigations and security training.
• U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service for basic and routine inquiries via multiple channels.
• Uses computerized system for tracking information and troubleshooting.
• Authenticates callers and protects PII/PHI per privacy requirements.
• Documents interactions in the FEHB Portal and other systems.
• Escalates complex questions and references published materials when needed.
