Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Eligibility Verification Specialist to support FEHB Protection Act Compliance and Verification Program. This CSR II position provides inbound telephone support for dependent eligibility verification and assists enrollees with Portal access, document submission, and navigation of program resources.

Responsibilities include handling routine inquiries, authenticating callers, protecting PII/PHI, and documenting each interaction in the OPM FEHB Portal.

Qualifications

• Dependent eligibility verification knowledge.
• Moderate Risk Public Trust (5C) clearance process.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Remote work within 50 miles of McAllen, TX.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service for basic and routine inquiries via multiple channels (phone, email, web chat, letters).
• Handles inbound telephone support for FEHB/PSHB dependent eligibility verification questions and case status.
• Assists enrollees with Portal access, document submission, and navigation of program resources.
• Authenticates callers and protects PII/PHI per privacy and security requirements.
• Documents each interaction accurately in the FEHB Protection Act Portal or approved system.
• Escalates complex questions and coordinates with senior staff as needed.
